What
Carrier Preselect (CPS)
Problem
I had a problem that I couldn't fax out anymore over a Belgacom PSTN line (Mobistar customer)
Solution
The client has a Belgacom PSTN line, but the subscription was with Mobistar. After I made some calls, I realized that when your subscription is not with the same provider for the cable you have to set a Carrier Preselect. A CPS is used for concurrent providers on the same cable, when you dial the CPS first before the number, your call will be routed through the chosen provider.
In Belgium the most CPS's are:
Prefix | Provider |
---|---|
1510 | Toledo Telecom |
1515 | Telenet |
1522 | Orange Business Belgium |
1525 | Scarlet Business |
1551 | Belgacom |
1555 | BT |
1566 | Verizon Business |
1588 | Scarlet Business |
1595 | Mobistar |
1599 | Belgacom |
1602 | T2 Belgium |
1611 | T2 Belgium |
1616 | Colt Telecom |
1636 | TalkTalk Direct Limited |
1661 | Telenet |
1665 | Verizon Business |
